Kenda Flintridge Pro GCT Bike Tire, 700 x 40, Black, Single Tire

Tires were recommended by a buddy. Initial impressions after approx 60 miles of mixed riding. Tires are an Excellent gravel on / off road tire. Surprisingly quiet on the road, some drag compared to previous 32c cross tires however inspire confidence on packed / semi loose dirt roads. Look great on the bike, actually changed the whole appearance in a desirable way. Reflective letters on the side wall is an added bonus. Usually run 43psi F, 45psi R which seems to be an excellent balance (on / off road). Durability, my buddy has approximately 1600 mi on his with decent tread still left. Highly Highly recommend these tires, I dont think you'll be disppointed, I wasn't!

These are sold as 700 x 40 - but caliper shows them 43.25 on a rim with internal width of 23mm.Tubeless set-up was a breeze. Mounted without tire levers and set the bead with just a floor pump. After adding Orange Seal they're holding air with minimal overnight loss.Purchased for the puncture protection and they feel durable. These would have been the perfect rear tire if they were actually 700 x 40, but I can't fit a 43 in the back :(.

Reviews on other websites say that this tire wobbles. My first attempt at mounting them resulted in the center tread wandering off line. I reseated the beads, and there was an improvement, but not perfect. Perhaps operator error, who knows.No comment on durability or puncture resistance yet. Nice ride on crushed stone.

Tires work great out here in Central California where the loose gravel, decomposed rock, and dry conditions make traction very important. The side knobs hook up well and the center knobs are great on hardpack and blacktop. Great tire!
