River Country5" (RC-T5L) Adjustable BBQ Grill Thermometer Temperature Gauge 50 to 550 F (Long Stem)

At this price point I was skeptical, so I looked them up went to a few of the BBQ forums and everyone had great things to say about River Country Thermometers. So i decided to give them a try, the scheduled delivery was over a week away when I checked out but I them (bought two) with three days. 5" dial is large, but very easy to read from a distance and the 5" stem gets it a lot closer to the center on my 24" diameter smoking chamber, than my old thermometers. Before putting them on I did the boil test to see if they were calibrated and they were dead on. I put them on the pit and not only do they look great, but they worked very well and I am so happy with my purchase and the fact that I can re-calibrate them when I need to well thats means they will last for years to come. This thermometer is awesome. It’s able to be calibrated and it’s huge!! The long stem I feel gives off more accurate temps and is good for large chambers. I just completed my custom pellet smoker and installed two of them. River country customer service is also amazing!! The first time I ordered was over a year ago before my project started. I realized recently I wanted two so I ordered the 2nd. Well they updated their design since then so they were different. I reached out to CS and they had me return the old one and sent me the newer model so they both matched. I couldn’t be happier.

With a quick glance I know what the temp is in the smoker.

The thermometer is not accurate even after making adjustments to it. It looks good

A large dial thermometer , with a calibration adjustment. Set the stem in a pot of boiling water (212°) then turn the adjuster either clockwise or counter clockwise, for the calibration, then check it again. It may take two or three times to get it set. It's very simple.It's very easy to read from a distance, due to the size.Be careful when installing it, there's a jam nut to tighten it up. Don't try to tighten it up by turning the dial itself, you could screw up the calibration.I'm ordering 3 more for my other smoker grill. Very simple and good product.

The long stem fit my Old Country Gravity Fed Insulated Smoker. The calibration was spot on right out the box. I clip my BBQ IQ to the stem of the River Country Thermometer; the reading is exactly the same

I bought this thermometer based on reviews that I watched on Youtube. It is far more accurate than the stock thermometer and much easier to read. Highly recommended!

when i connect my pid to thermometer in a cook temp dead on . when i connect to grate .temp differ about 50 degrees . have ck and did boilin water test with another dead on with the other . do not know what is going on . may be stem not long enough . help

Great quality, used for the smokehouse. Only downfall is it does not have Celsius.

I really like the size and thought it would be great to see the temp of the smoke at a distance. 20 minutes after putting the meat on the smoker the face of the thermometer fogged up with moisture. Will have to take it off the smoker and bring it inside to get rid of the moisture and try again.
