The Ultimate Book of Dinosaurs Hardcover – January 1, 2000

When my kids were really little, they'd carry this around with them wherever they went, until finally the book fell apart. So I bought them a new copy, and they carried that around until the spine fell off and the pages were worn.When they were just a little older, we watched Jurassic Park with them, and my then-5 year-old had her first moment of having to suspend disbelief: "Why do they call it Jurassic Park when most of the dinosaurs are Cretaceous?"Eventually that book fell to pieces, as well. This year, that then-5 year-old is now 18, and is considering going to school to be a paleontologist. Of course, I had to find a used copy of this book on Amazon. The kids were thrilled, and even though a lot of the information in the Ultimate Book of Dinosaurs is no longer considered fact by modern paleontologists, diplodocus is still my daughter's favorite dinosaur (even though it probably wasn't really blue - her favorite color when she was five).

My grandpa and grandma bought me the first edition of this book in 2000, and it was the first dinosaur book i ever got, now im dating a girl who has a son that turns 1 soon and he is obsessed with dinosaurs, I'm so happy that you made it possible to pass on this awesome experience to him. 10/5 stars. A good book that really helps one to grasp the dinosaur and the life they lived, good pictures and good information, I would hope a dinosaur fan would really enjoy reading!!
