La Tourangelle, French Roast Almond Butter, 16 fl oz

This arrives as rock solid blocks of almond paste, with the consistency of sesame halvah, floating in a jar of almond oil. Its initial form is useless. However, it is possible to salvage it: You microwave the blocks till they soften, then you chop the block up into very small pieces with a fork. Then you add some oil, heat the oil, and blend the oil and the chopped paste. But you have to chop the paste BEFORE you add the oil, or your vigorous action with the fork will spray oil all over everything. It is over priced, and too much work but it does taste great.

Two reasons: 1) easy to stir and 2) it's 100% almonds and almond oil... no palm oil, which is rare! I love the rich flavor and the easily stirrable texture. You don't even have to stir it at all if you store it upside down (put it on a plate to prevent leakage after you open it.) It's a little runnier than it is a paste, so it's perfect for drizzling on oatmeal. I bought both flavors and they're amazing!

Love that this is just two ingredients - almonds and almond oil - and that it’s made right here in California. The flavor is uniquely delicious especially for almond butter and it’s not dry, can even drizzle over my banana toast. I am looking forward to baking with this too!

This is absolutely delicious almond butter , and at a great price too! Don't listen to these other reviews/clear competitors that are obviously jelly, pun intened! I love this product and I use to buy Justin's but I learned they put palm oil in it, and that's a nutritional no-no. This is super tasty almond butter that you'll love. I've already bought it multiple times, and it's consistently awesome.
