Best radio value for your money.
These are great radio’s and inexpensive. They can be charged with usb which makes them great for car to car communications on long trips.Easy to use with the easy to read manual. Comes with a lot of extra accessories. This pair I put in a faraday bag with a portable solar battery pack. Because these radios are inexpensive and charge with a usb I can afford to leave these in a just in case storage.

Bad antenna
Love my radios. Just got mine in and they work amazing. My only complaint is that the long antenna broke as I want to go thread it in. So now I'm out an antenna and haven't had it 24 hours

Great, cheap way to get into HAM radio
C'mon, all of this for less that $60. I know this isn't Kenwood or ICOM quality, but they do work and are as advertised. The batteries would last almost 24 hours on standby whilst scanning, they feel fairly well made and have decent audio. This is a good cheap way to start with HAM radio without a large investment, which was my intention and I am quite satisfied with my purchase!

Good Radio, Great Customer Service!
Received the Two Radio Kit. One of the standard Antenna was not working, we could not get signal form radio to radio form even 75 feet apart. I moved the antenna to the second radio, the issue follows the antenna. I contacted MaxTalker the seller. Amy, with MaxTalke, was quick to response and able to send me out a replacement Standard Antenna straight away. Great Customer service! Now Both radios are working great. I've very please by the purchase. The battery life is great, I charged them fully and left them on all night with the screen set to backlit on and in freq. scanning all night. When I awoke they were still going strong with about 1/2 to 1/4 battery remaining. The UV-5MR I'm able to listen to my nearby airport Air traffic and with the software I'm able to lockout the PTT on these Freq. so I don't accidently hit the PTT and cause interference. It does have a learning curve, however there are plenty of videos and help. These radios are a good Purchase. My bother bought a pair as well.

Great Radio To Learn Ham Radio/GMRS
For the price this is an outstanding entry level radio for those of us learning ham radio. The radio is stamped FCC compliant so that's what I'm going to go with. This radio helped me a lot during hurricane Helene here in Asheville. Now I have 3 of them. Color screen, decent tactical antenna that I was able to get pretty good transmit and receive on. If you are looking for a good starting spot. The 5RM is the way to go. Arrived on time and as described; you can't ask for more than that-

Well worth the price
I got these for emergency use since we live in a rural area and figured that it would be beneficial. While I am licensed as a marine radio operator from my days as a boat captain in south Florida I can definitely say that these radios are just as powerful and have the same features as the expensive Motorola radio that we had as a back up radio as required by the coast guard . I was so impressed with these I had to order two of the ones with GPS for our cabin and a 6pack of the walkie talkies. I do plan on getting my Ham radio license as well and plan on taking a class that one of my old high school teachers is teaching. I was showing them to a good friend of mine from school who lives farther out than me in fact he is only a few minutes away from our little cabin in the woods and hunting cabin. But my buddy went home and immediately got on Amazon and ordered a set for his farm and loved the idea of the walkie talkies for guests to use just in case they get lost on his 100 acer property. While they are out exploring the farm.Would I recommend these? Definitely and for the price you can't go wrong. I do think that all the fit options should include an extra battery and a radio pouch that can be secured to the belt. But I did pick up a few of the radio pouches on Amazon. I would have definitely loved having these in Florida during the hurricane seasons that we went through in the 30 plus years that I lived there.
