This is a great study. Wonderful for group wanting a better prayer life

Very good book as a companion to the DVD. It's a must have to make sense of the DVD, but you don't have to follow it exactly. I have tapered the group discussions to what our particular group needs. The whole series is fantastic, and is already taking us to a new level of prayer. And we are only part way through the 2nd lesson. There is so much material here. It's a 6 week study, but we are making it into at least a 12 week study. We are doing it during the Sunday School hour and need to teach the material, watch DVD, have discussion and leave time for prayer....a lot to get into the time slot. I would rate the DVD as a full 5 stars.

Only two lessons in with our group, but the conversations have been fantastic. Loving the emphasis on the Holy Spirit and we all feel we're learning, growing and finding immediate applications in our lives.

This is a great book about the power and importance of regular prayer in our churches and life. I did feel that some of the questions were very basic, but this whole study was very great, especially creating discussion and inspiring to go deeper and more often into prayer.

This book is so great on the subject of the power of prayer. Jim Cymbala is the pastor of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Church in Brooklyn, NY and he is truly a man of God. He shared so many insights to prayer in this book and I will never be the same!

Anything Cymbala does is outstanding and inspired, I believe. But I was dissappointed to learn that you I really needed the 'accompanying' recording to be able to make good use of this little booklet. However, this was not the seller's fault. It was my own. Be sure and get the whole product if you order this. I'm sure that if I can locate the cd that accompanies this booklet, I'll be totally satisfied. Blessings.

A very motivating and powerful tool for any individual or group to experience God through prayer. And experience first hand what God does in answering prayer.

So I ordered the book for a church Bible study, and the study itself is ... okay.However, I was amazed to discover that (1) pages 63 and 64 have been left blank in many copies, though some people in the group did have the pages; and (2) they were apparently left blank INTENTIONALLY, as they are neatly marked, "Please continue to page 65 in this participant's guide." Give me a break!

Who else would you ask to teach on prayer apart from Jesus himself!? This is a great Bible study series.

We studied this series as a connect group and the discussions between young and old alike was wonderful. Bless Jim Cymbala!

This book refers to a companion CD which wasn't included or referred to when initially purchasing. Will have to track one down now!

Using it for a second time in five years. It has changed my life eternally, and now we want to see a lasting work in our church by its becoming the house of prayer Jesus advocated by cleansing the temple - twice. We so appreciate Brooklyn Tabernacle's willingness to share what God has done in an inner city scenario. Now we want to demonstrate His love and power in a rural setting.We
