Works well
Low noise, does the trick! My pit bull hates having his nails clipped- this gadget is pretty quiet- just a low hum that doesn’t freak out my dog. I tried it on my own nail and it’s gentle. I just do a little at a time and it works well! No more stress for my pup! My only wish is that it would take a little more off at a time but I’m happy with it being safe as to not hurt my pet - Thanks

Every dog owner needs this!
The AIKOTOO Dog Pet Nail Grinder is all it says it is. It's quiet and easy to use (three different places to grind nails). Each of my two poodles lay on their backs on my lap as I grind their nails, and they fall asleep. I use the grinder weekly to keep their nails the proper length, and I like that it quickly smooths their nails. No more scratching the grandchildren or floor.!

Most Quiet Grinder I've Ever Heard!
My Terrier/Chihuahua usually gets his nails done at the pet store. Mainly because I don't want to fight with him. I've used those big noisy grinders before but the only animal that didn't mind was my 22 lb house rabbit. So I wanted to try a quieter one. I let him sniff, listen and feel the grinder before trying it on his nails. He wasn't sure about it at first but then didn't mone as long as I did only one foot per day. That works for me! I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because the rpm is slower than the other grinders (that's what makes it quiet). So it takes me longer on each nail.

Only for small animals
This would probably be fine for cats or small dogs, but worthless for a large dog. It would've taken an hour to do my lab's nails. The grinding surface just isn't rough enough for large claws. I returned it.

not for my pets
neither of my pets like this. dog, cat and guinea pigs. i think the vibration freaks them out and from using it on myself i noticed that moving it a certain way around your nail it will actually kind of hurt. it will also take forever to shorten the nail, so clippers are just quicker. 3 stars for pet use. BUT 5 stars for human use! lol. i tested it on myself and it works well and fast. so i have been using it instead of nail files. which is also helpful for someone who has limited movement.

Best one I ever tried even with skittish dog
I have a rescue who is a massive chicken about grooming behaviors as they’re still so new to him. I use this without the cap for easier work, put a little peanut butter on the back of my forearm so he has a distraction and he will let me do his nails. He’s slowly starting to lick his lips when this comes out but it’s a massive improvement from the dog who acted about to die of fear. I tried another one and he would not come out of hiding

Definitely worth giving a shot! Definitely beats clippers!
This is another one of those things that I I never knew that I’d need. Duchess jerked away from it at first, but she’s always had security issues with her paws. Once we got over that, we were on easy street. What I like seems to be her favorite feature as well. Duchess would rather me get it over with sooner, rather than later. Taking the top off and using the entire surface of the grinder, makes it incredibly fast!

Dog Hates it.
This is really meant for small dogs with tiny little claws. My medium size dog with thick claws hates it and for one main reason: It would take FOREVER to saw down his claws. I mean, if you're going to use this as part of a dog MANICURE, then go ahead. But he hates the vibration so bad he jerks his paw away...
